What is Australian Volunteers for International Development?

The new Australian Volunteers for International Development program, funded by AusAID, offers a range of opportunities for skilled volunteers to live, work and make a difference as part of Australia’s overseas aid program.

As part of the Australian Government’s Australian Volunteers for International Development, funded by AusAID, Austraining International mobilises skilled volunteers on long term assignments across Asia, the Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean.

Volunteers work with local people to share knowledge, develop sustainable skills and build the capacity of individuals, organisations and communities in line with partner governments and Australian Government development priorities and the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

The Australian Volunteers for International Development Program is an Australian Government, AusAID initiative.
