AVID assignments are advertised on a monthly basis and each month there are around 100 new assignments open for application.
Can't see any assignments? Come back on the 1st of next month. Applications for assignments are advertised on the first of each month and close at 5.30pm, Canberra time, on the 21st of the same month.
Applicants are expected to attend the Australian Volunteers Briefing specified on the Key Dates Page and be available to mobilise at any point within the final two weeks of the intended mobilisation month.
The 'Proposed Start' date listed against each assignment is indicative of the month of mobilisation only. The exact mobilisation date will be determined by the program.
Please note that this is a voluntary assignment, part of the Australian Volunteers for International Development program. The Australian Volunteers for International Development (AVID) program, is an Australian Government initiative.
Please note: the AVID Program reserves the right to withdraw assignments at any time and applicants should be aware that even after successful completion of the selection process, selected candidates may not be mobilised overseas. We are operating in an uncertain region and the safety and security of AVIDs is the priority for the AVID Program. The AVID Program will not be responsible for any decisions made by candidates with financial implications if their assignment is withdrawn.
