Being a Host Organisation provides you with the opportunity to:
- Gain the knowledge and experience of a skilled Australian Volunteer as they work with you to pass on their skills and build the capacity of your staff and organisation
- Strengthen or create links with organisations in Australia
- Raise the profile of your organisation in Australia, Asia, the Pacific, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean
- Be recognised for involvement through the Austraining International Australian Volunteers website and magazine
Host Organisations are required to provide an Australian Volunteer with:
- Appropriate workspace.
- Equipment required to fulfil the assignment outcomes.
- Work related travel expenses.
A Host Organisation will identify:
- A supervisor for the volunteer.
- A counterpart for the volunteer (someone who will work alongside the volunteer).
- HOs are expected to make a commitment to childsafe environments and selection processes. Please refer to the Child Protection Policy.
